Crowns

Crowns are often placed over a tooth that has been treated either with root canal therapy or a filling. The crown strengthens the tooth and greatly lessens the potential for future problems with the treated tooth. Crowns allow the creation of a tooth that is perfect in appearance.

Bridges

When a patient loses one or more teeth, one method of replacing the missing teeth is by creating a bridge that attaches and runs from an adjacent healthy tooth over the absent tooth space to the next healthy tooth. A bridge is not a removable appliance … it is cemented in and functions well. It is important for patients with a bridge to be vigilant with flossing the site to keep the gum tissue healthy.

Sometimes where a patient has a number of missing teeth a bridge will run from one implant to either another implant or an adjacent healthy tooth in order to secure the bridge effectively.
